Space-Time Estimates on Damped Fractional Wave Equation

    Get PDF
We obtain space-time estimates on the solution u(t,x) to the Cauchy problem of damped fractional wave equation. We mainly focus on the linear equation. The almost everywhere convergence of the solution to linear equations as t→0+ is also studied, with the initial data satisfying certain regularity conditions

Pricing Decision under Dual-Channel Structure considering Fairness and Free-Riding Behavior

    Get PDF
Under dual-channel structure, the free-riding behavior based on different service levels between online channel and offline channel cannot be avoided, which would lead to channel unfairness. This study implies that the dual-channel supply chain is built up by online channel controlled by manufacturer and traditional channel controlled by retailer, respectively. Under this channel structure, we rebuild the linear demand function considering free-riding behavior and modify the pricing model based on channel fairness. Then the influences of fair factor and free-riding behavior on manufacturer and retailer pricing and performance are discussed. Finally, we propose some numerical analysis to provide some valuable recommendations for manufacturer and retailer improving channel management performance

Hierarchical Masked 3D Diffusion Model for Video Outpainting

Video outpainting aims to adequately complete missing areas at the edges of video frames. Compared to image outpainting, it presents an additional challenge as the model should maintain the temporal consistency of the filled area. In this paper, we introduce a masked 3D diffusion model for video outpainting. We use the technique of mask modeling to train the 3D diffusion model. This allows us to use multiple guide frames to connect the results of multiple video clip inferences, thus ensuring temporal consistency and reducing jitter between adjacent frames. Meanwhile, we extract the global frames of the video as prompts and guide the model to obtain information other than the current video clip using cross-attention. We also introduce a hybrid coarse-to-fine inference pipeline to alleviate the artifact accumulation problem. The existing coarse-to-fine pipeline only uses the infilling strategy, which brings degradation because the time interval of the sparse frames is too large. Our pipeline benefits from bidirectional learning of the mask modeling and thus can employ a hybrid strategy of infilling and interpolation when generating sparse frames. Experiments show that our method achieves state-of-the-art results in video outpainting tasks. More results are provided at our https://fanfanda.github.io/M3DDM/.Comment: ACM MM 2023 accepte

Comparative studies on the regulatory effects of raw and charred hawthorn on functional dyspepsia and intestinal flora

Purpose: To compare the effects of raw hawthorn (RH) and charred hawthorn (CH) on functional dyspepsia (FD) and intestinal flora (IF).Methods: A rat model of FD was established through use of a chronic stimulator. Rat models were evaluated by the rat’s physical state, body weight, diet, and histopathological examination. After RH or CH administration, the digestive function of the rats was evaluated by determining gastric emptying and intestinal propulsion rate, diversity of intestinal flora. Results: RH and CH both improved gastric emptying and intestinal propulsion rate in FD group when compared to control group (p < 0.05). CH yielded higher treatment effectiveness than RH. Sixteen phyla of microbiomes were recognized from all samples. After FD model establishment, the relative abundance of Lactobacillus, Lachnospiraceae and Bacteroidales decreased compared to normal control rats. On the other hand, the relative abundance of Helicobacter and Bacteroides in the model control group increased compared to normal control. After RH and CH treatment, the relative abundance of all dysregulated phyla was restored to varying degrees, but the levels after CH treatment were similar to those of the normal control group. Conclusion: The relative abundance of intestinal flora of FD model rats is significantly different from that of rats in normal control group. Thus, RH and CH intervention improves digestive function, and the mechanisms may be related to adjustment of gut dysbacteriosis. Keywords: Raw Hawthorn, Charred Hawthorn, Functional dyspepsia, Intestinal flor

In situ time-resolved FTIRS study of adsorption and oxidation of ethylene glycol on Pt(100) electrode

    Get PDF
Adsorption and oxidation of ethylene glycol (EG) on Pt(100) electrode were studied by in situ time-resolved FTIRS (TRFTIRS). The TRFTIR spectra recorded at 0.10 V illustrate that an IR band appears near 2050 cm(-1) at t > 5 s, corresponding to linearly bonded CO formed in dissociative adsorption of EG The TRFTIR results have confirmed also that CO species are distributed uniformly on Pt(100) surface. Another band appears near 2342 cm(-1) at t < 70 s, associating with IR absorption of CO2 produced in the direct oxidation of EG With the increase of electrode potential, the direct oxidation of EG becomes gradually the main reaction. When the potential is above 0.40 V, the oxidation of EG occurs mainly via the reactive intermediates, i.e. species containing -COOH determined by in situ TRFTIRS
